Looking for a cool tactical pen without breaking the bank? UZI offers a few different tactical pens that will serve great purpose for your needs. Being prepared for any emergency situation requires having the right tools available. That's why tactical pen's have been increasingly popular over the last year or two. One thing I really like about tactical pens like this UZI is it provides an additional inconspicuous defensive tool that can be kept in your pocket all the time without drawing any "attention". Another thing I like is it accepts a standard Fisher pen refill. So no more need to worry about refilling the ink once it dries up! And while we're on the ink subject, this pen writes very good on paper. The ink doesn't gum up on the ball of the pen head.

The UZI Tactical Defender Pen is 6" inches in length and constructed using aircraft grade aluminum with diamond shape knurling. Getting a solid firm grip on this pen in a defensive scenario won't be an issue.

Here you can see both blunt ends of the pen. One one end you have a tapered end which also serves as a glass breaker. It definitely doesn't take much of a whack to a side window with it to shatter. The only down-side is the black coating chips after a good thrashing. If you're ever in a situation where you'd have to use this as a non-lethal defensive tool, I am pretty sure it won't feel good for the perpetrator. Without applying much pressure the glass breaker into a arm, leg, or worse face will definitely stun someone! The same would be said about the pen tip end too.

The pocket clip on this UZI pen is very similar to the deep carry pocket clips you'd see on a lot of knives. It really doesn't leave much exposed outside of the pocket. The tension on the clip is very nice. You won't have to worry about it sliding around while in your pocket. And it won't tear up your pants from repeatedly taking it in and out of your pocket.

My final conclusion on the UZI Tactical Pen: For less than $20 bucks it's a great buy considering most tactical pens start at about $50 bucks and go well into the hundreds of dollars. I think everyone should really consider having one of these in their EDC system. It's a great non-lethal defensive tool and you'll look really cool signing checks at the bank (smiles). I know a lot of women (my mother being one) that don't carry a firearm or a knife for self defense. This would be a very effective defensive tool for them to carry that doesn't "look scary". My mom is on-board and has one!
